New Orleans

Y2K Slumber Party

the sleepover you never grew out of.

Sat Jul 11 · 6:00pm – 10:00pm
A house in New Orleans

We're taking over a whole house in New Orleans for the sleepover you never grew out of. A real paper invitation lands in your mailbox weeks before. You show it at the door, get your Polaroid taken for the guest wall, and the night is yours: friendship bracelets, magazine collages cut from real Y2K issues, cupcake decorating, a glam station stocked with blue eyeshadow and body glitter, and a photo scavenger hunt through every room of the house. Karaoke and a lip sync battle close the night, then superlatives. Almost everyone leaves with a sash.

18 spots. Women only. Tickets aren't live yet, and the waitlist gets first dibs when they drop.

Butterfly clips and blue eyeshadow. A guest wall slowly filling up with Polaroids. A bed covered in vintage magazines, a vanity crowded with lip gloss and perfume bottles, your old AIM screen name written on the bathroom mirror. Dunkaroos and Ring Pops on the snack table, Shirley Temples in your hand, Mean Girls playing on low volume. Every room of the house is styled to be photographed.

    Do we actually sleep over?

No. It runs 6 to 10pm. Pajamas still very much encouraged.

    What should I wear?

Come Y2K-coded. Butterfly clips, velour, low-rise everything, whatever your 2002 self would've picked out the night before. The glam station can finish the look when you get there.

What's this about a mailed invitation?

Every ticket holder gets a real paper invitation in their actual mailbox a few weeks before. It has all the details, including the address. Bring it with you, it's your ticket to the door Polaroid.

    Do I have to sing?

No. Karaoke and the lip sync battle are for whoever wants the mic. The crafts and snacks keep running the whole time.

    Is there food?

Yes. A build-your-own food station with vegan and pescatarian options, a Y2K snack table, and mocktails all night. Alcohol-free.

    Who can come?

    This one's women only.

    What does the waitlist mean?

Tickets aren't on sale yet. Join the waitlist and you get first access when they drop, before anyone else.
